Nottingham Express Transit
Transport has been transformed for the people of Nottingham, with the completion of the city’s tram system. In May 2000, the Arrow Consortium was awarded the concession for the provision and operation of a 14km light rail system. | |

As part of the consortium, Carillion was responsible for the construction element of the project, with Bombardier supplying the trams and signalling systems. The tram route lies partly along the pathway of the existing Robin Hood railway line and partly on-street as it approaches the city centre. A key feature of the project was the integration of bus and tram services along the corridor with buses feeding passengers to tram stops. |
