Apprenticeships in Construction

The construction industry relies heavily on skilled people and Carillion is a leading employer and quality trainer of apprentices within this sector. We are committed to playing an active part in training inexperienced people to enter the industry, build on their experience and become skilled workers.

Carillion Construction Training is accredited to deliver its programmes within the government’s Modern Apprentice Frameworks. During the training period Carillion employs the apprentices and on successful completion, usually after three years, we offer assistance and help with CV writing and job search. We have six different Craft Apprenticeships, along with many other training routes, all structured to provide entry into the construction industry.

Following an inspection in 2002 by the Adult Learning Inspectorate, we were placed in the top 5% of construction training providers. We have been training apprentices in construction skills for over 35 years and, with a network of over 16 training centres throughout the country, we are well known for setting high skill standards and providing quality training.

We provide training in the following skills:

• Plastering

• Building Maintenance

• Construction Operations
